Workaholism significantly affects couple relationships and family relationships by reducing time, emotional availability, and affective involvement in intimate and family life. Workaholics tend to prioritize work over close relationships, which can generate feelings of neglect, frustration, and dissatisfaction among partners and family members. Additionally, difficulties in emotional expression and the avoidance of intimacy can lead to relational conflicts, emotional distancing, and a weakening of family cohesion in the long term.
